Product Overview
grubGONE! G Biological Grub Control
Patchy brown lawn that lifts up like a loose rug? Crows and raccoons tearing up the grass at night? That’s usually grubs, and in Seattle the most common culprit is European chafer.
grubGONE! is a granular grub control made with a naturally occurring soil bacterium, Bt galleriae. Grubs eat it as they feed on roots, stop feeding, and die off within a few days. It targets beetle grubs specifically, and the label has no restrictions around bees or flowering plants, so you can use it in lawns and garden beds with pollinators around.
What it controls
European chafer, Japanese beetle, masked chafer, Oriental beetle, and other annual white grubs, plus billbugs and annual bluegrass weevils.
Why we like it
- Biological active ingredient, a lower-impact alternative to conventional chemical grub killers
- One application covers the season
- Easy to spread with a standard broadcast spreader
- Works on lawns and around ornamental plantings
How to use it
Apply when grubs are young and feeding near the surface. Here that’s typically mid-summer into early fall. Spread evenly, then water it in or apply before rain. Moisture releases the active ingredient into the root zone where grubs are feeding. Always read and follow the full label for rates and timing.
